The Courage Collective is a coaching service and blog that gets real about the fears and self-doubt that quarter-lifers face as they live their most defining years. That’s where I come in.  I’m Brittany, creator of The Courage Collective.

I am a creator – whether it’s movement, food, greeting cards, photography, or experiences, I have a love for curating and using what I have to make something beautiful.  I am a wellness nut with a background in dance and movement.  I have a love for camping, yoga, mindfulness, 90’s music and a serious obsession with eating well and sweating once a day.  The real thing you should know about me is that I’m a do-er and a super problem solver. My listening skills are top-notch and I know how to work with others to get to a solution.  I’m also growing and trying to practice my own courage everyday, which for anyone, is always a work in progress.  

Why I Created The Courage Collective

The Courage Collective was created over the course of some very courageous months.

It is rooted in the real challenges and triumphs that I have experienced in my life and that I hope to support and empower others to face as well.  My dance practice taught me invaluable skills when it came to work ethic, awareness and teamwork, but it also shaped the lens through which I see my body and my abilities. Overtime, I developed this goal driven attitude but I began to question if those goals were rooted in self-love or in the desire for perfection and approval.  As young people, we are bombarded by choices we have to make while consistently being engaged in comparing the success of our choices to others’.  I’ve been fascinated by the journey of 20 and 30 somethings in our society today and I have insight into how to make it a happier, healthier journey.   

It’s called The COURAGE Collective for a reason people!  The leap to quitting my comfortable job, putting myself out there, and starting something new took a major amount of courage.  And this is why I know where you stand as a client.  I know what it feels like to be held back by fear, to judge yourself, and let your mind be your own worst enemy.  I know what it’s like to let others’ opinions (imagined or real) shape your reality when it isn’t the reality you want.  I know what it feels like to self-doubt, look in the mirror everyday and immediately pinpoint what needs ‘fixing.’  I especially know what it’s like to feel pressured, stressed, and overwhelmed on the day-to-day.  This doesn’t have to be you!  You can choose to rewrite your subconscious mind, create new healthy habits, practice self compassion, and still be the driven, goal oriented bad ass you are!
